This is a pair of US Army Transportation Corps officer branch insignia pins. The insignia features a ship's steering wheel (mariner's helm), superimposed on a shield with a winged car wheel on a rail. The winged car wheel represents rail transportation, the helm for water transport, and the shield/highway marker (implied as part of the overall design) for land transportation. The Transportation Corps was organized on July 31, 1942. These are vintage military pins, potentially from the WWII eras. They are approved for wear on various Army Service Uniforms (ASU, AGSU).
