This pre-war Lionel Corporation assortment features tin-plated steel Standard Gauge track. The collection includes curved and straight sections, two No. 210 switches with painted bases, and a No. 78 signal house accessory. A metal plate onthe switch base reads LIONEL STANDARD SWITCH 210 MADE IN U.S. OF AMERICA BY THE LIONEL CORPORATION N.Y. while a rectangular accessory housing reads NO. 78 FOR. Across the outer rails, the track gauge measures 2 1/8 inches.Components exhibit a classic aged patina with surface oxidation typical of pre-war tin-plated steel. The switch bases retain original finish with character-building wear expected for the age.
