PATTERNS IN THE UNDERGLAZE OF THE QING DYNASTY. <br>Height:13cm (5.12in) , Diameter:10cm (3.94in) Compact jar with small mouth, short neck, full shoulder and tapering body. Painted in under?glaze red on white glaze ground with phoenix amid scrolling blooms. The phoenix displays outstretched feathered wings amid winding foliage, executed in fine flowing lines with soft red tone. Ruyi?scroll borders encircle mouth and foot. Base bears under?glaze?blue two?line regular?script mark ??Yong?Zheng Nian Zhi??. Underglaze?red was technically challenging to fire.
