THE MING DYNASTY. <br>Weight:2150g (4.740lb) , Height:24.6cm (9.69in) , Width:12cm (4.72in) , Thick:8.5cm (3.35in) Cast in bronze with residual lacquer gilt and aged patina. The deity wears an ornate tall ceremonial crown. With solemn facial features, long beard and vermilion lips, he is robed in wide-sleeved official garments with natural drapery folds. Sitting upright with hands clasped before the chest, the figure bears dignified and elegant bearing. Statues of this kind usually represent Taoist gods, City God or God of Official Fortune, worshipped for prosperous career and good fortune.
