BEAST'S EAR HOLDING A RING VASE. <br>Height:28cm (11.02in) , Diameter:18cm (7.09in) The vase has flared rim, broad neck, full shoulder, rounded tapering body and well?finished foot ring, fitted with a pair of animal?head ring handles at shoulders. The exterior is laid on rich rouge?red ground, densely painted with famille?rose scrolling floral blossoms. The neck and shoulder are adorned with multi?layered decorative bands of yellow?ground ruyi?cloud and key?fret patterns. Large begonia?shaped reserves enclose painted scenes of court ladies and playful children within a garden setting, with delicate rendering of figures and landscape. Lotus?petal and key?fret friezes run around the lower body, outlined in gilding. The base bears six?character blue?and?white seal mark ??Da Qing Qian Long Nian Zhi??, affixed with an old collection wax seal.
