"BATHING HORSES" SCROLL. <br>Long:820cm (322.83in) Width:27.6cm (10.87in) Color painting on silk. The frontispiece bears calligraphy "Genuine Trace of Xuesong Taoist" inscribed by Dong Bangda, with Qing imperial collection seals. The scroll depicts grooms grazing and bathing horses. The horses are vividly rendered with elegant brushwork, inheriting Tang and Song figure-and-equine painting traditions. Multiple ancient scholar colophons are attached, preserved in original antique silk mounting. The equine motif symbolizes worthy talents and peaceful realm.
