"SONG OF EVERLASTING REGRET". Long:1909cm (751.57in) Width:53.5cm (21.06in) Color painting on silk. The frontispiece bears calligraphy title "Picture of Song of Everlasting Sorrow". Following the narrative of Bai Juyi??s famous poem, the scroll depicts imperial palaces, processions, bridges and fairyland architectures with precise boundary painting techniques and elegant green mineral pigments. Colophons by scholars are attached at the end, preserved in original antique silk mounting. Zhang Daqian integrated diversified ancient painting skills.
