Cyrus Dallin (1861-1944). Statue depicts an Indian in full head dress sitting on horseback with arms outstretched and head thrown back, searching the heavens, while the horse stands there. Signed CE Dallin on base. Measures approximately 19" long x 10 1/2" wide x 20" tall. A life-sized bronze of this statue was cast and exhibited in 1909 at the Paris Salon. Then it was moved to the Huntington Avenue entrance side of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston in 1912 where it still stands today.
