This RICE LAKE WEIGHING SYSTEMS calibration weight ensures the accuracy of scales and balances. It is assigned an ASTM weight class based on factors regarding its construction which impacts its level of tolerance. This class helps identify the appropriate application for this calibration weight. Class 7 is for rough weighing estimates and simple weight calibrations, and is comparable to OIML Class M2 and M3 weights. Slotted has a slot cut out of its center for stacking onto a rod or hanger when verifying industrial scales that do not have a flat surface. Statement of Accuracy indicates the calibration weight includes documentation specifying the expected performance of the weight under defined conditions.
