Mattel Dior & Evening Sophisticate Barbies

Two limited edition vinyl Barbie dolls produced by Mattel, including the 1995 Christian Dior Barbie and the 1997 Evening Sophisticate Barbie from the Classique Collection. The Christian Dior Barbie features blonde hair in an elegant updo and blue eyes, wearing an original Dior-designed two-piece suit of gold, black, and red floral tapestry brocade. The jacket is detailed with flared sleeves decorated with dense gold-tone and black beadwork and large gold-tone buttons. Accessories include gold leaf-shaped earrings and a matching ring. The Evening Sophisticate Barbie, designed by Robert Best as the seventh in the Classique series, features a short blonde bob and blue eyes. Her ensemble consists of a pink satin bodice and evening coat with a dramatic ruffled collar, paired with a mint green satin skirt accented with clear rhinestones. Both dolls remain secured within their original collector boxes. The grey Christian Dior box bears a printed mark on the bottom reading © 1995 Timeless Creations, the Collectible/Specialty Doll Division of Mattel, Inc. and includes the product number 13168.
