Bob Mackie Madame du Barbie Limited Edition Doll

A vinyl collector doll titled Madame du Barbie, designed by Bob Mackie and released by Mattel in 1997. This doll is the tenth edition in the designer's Barbie series and features a tall, upswept blonde pompadour in the Rococo style with a single long curl draped over one shoulder. She wears a highly detailed ice-blue gown featuring a flared Medici-style collar and extensive hand-beaded and sequined embroidery in scrollwork patterns of silver, lavender, and gold tones. The center of the skirt is decorated with a quilted diamond pattern accented with small beads. Underneath, the doll wears a tiered white tulle petticoat, lace-trimmed taffeta pantaloons, and light blue molded boots. Accessories include a beaded headpiece with a tulle plume, drop earrings, and a beaded necklace. The lot includes an ivory-colored plastic stand embossed with the Barbie logo, a promotional booklet, and a Certificate of Authenticity marked 17934-0900.The doll is in excellent overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs.
