Mattel Romeo & Juliet Together Forever Gift Set

A Mattel "Together Forever" collection limited edition gift set featuring Ken and Barbie as Romeo and Juliet, first in a series. The Barbie doll as Juliet is dressed in a high-waisted olive green velvet gown with a gold-tone brocade bodice and burgundy sleeves accented with gold-tone ribbon. Her brunette hair is styled in a long braid intertwined with golden trim, and she wears a gold-tone chaplet and necklace. The Ken doll as Romeo wears a dark blue velvety tunic with silver-tone decorative stitching, a long silver-tone cloak, blue leggings, and a black velvet cap. A silver-tone belt with a plastic dagger accessory is fastened at his waist. The dolls are secured in their original decorative display box depicting a Renaissance-style balcony scene. The base of the box is marked "© 1997 Barbie Collectibles, the Barbie® Collectible/Specialty Doll Division of Mattel, Inc." and "MADE IN CHINA." The front interior bottom edge of the packaging is printed with "© 1998 Mattel, Inc."
