Mid-19th-century ambrotype featuring an engraved portrait of a woman paired with The Faithful Dog imagery on the case exterior. Housed in a hinged thermoplastic Union case with ornate embossed detailing. Interior includes a velvet lining & a gilt-edged mat surrounding the image. Case dimensions are approximately 3.5 ins. by 3 ins. Moderate wear consistent with age. Engraved details visible throughout.
