A wonderful antique steamer trunk with wood-slat top, leather corners, and metal hardware including working latches. The interior is still lined with original vintage newspaper, including a Lincoln, Nebraska "Evening State Journal" page and a Denver Post section dated June 11, 1944 — a fantastic authentic detail for collectors. Shows honest age throughout: worn finish, surface scuffs, and some separation at the seams, but the trunk is structurally solid and full of character. A true statement piece for a farmhouse entry, bedroom, or as unique storage.
