Dodge, Inc. was originally founded by 1924 Olympian Ray Edgar Dodge in 1930. The company was once famous for being the largest trophy manufacturer in the world and was an early producer of both the Oscar and Emmy statuettes. This stamp indicates the factory locations. The company started in Los Angeles and Chicago, and added its New York factory in 1935. Pieces like this are generally composed of silverplate (often with a base metal underneath). This specific flower/petal pattern features a mid-century modern aesthetic designed for serving or acting as a standalone centerpiece
