Early 19th century French Creil earthenware plate, circa 1830, depicting a centralized genre scene of a couple greeted by solider mounted on a horse above the word "Garde Nationale," having French terms in flag-flanked sprays throughout the border, impressed mark to the reverse. With expected signs of light age, some scuffs and light sporadic scratches. Measures 8 1/4" diam.
