This is specifically the green band. The green band variation of Copeland Spode Maritime Rose is a rare, antique iteration of the pattern, easily distinguished from the more common post-war blue version. While the baseline layout of the central rose and the solid colored border band (whether the common periwinkle blue or the rare green variant) utilize factory transfers and colored enamels, the fine details are finished by hand. Because of this meticulous hand-decoration process, no two antique plates will look completely identical.
