Pewter Thimbles. This assortment of twenty-five souvenir thimbles includes a variety of porcelain and cast pewter examples featuring geographic transfers and commemorative themes. The group contains several notable pieces including a cast pewter thimble with an airplane finial marked THE SPRUCE GOOSE / LONG BEACH CA and a thimble in original Memento Thimble packaging reading Genuine Pewter Made in USA for the LINCOLN HOME STATE HISTORICAL PARK. Geographic porcelain transfers include Florida / Daytona Beach, Washington D.C., Shenandoah National Park, and Utah, while a cobalt blue thimble is marked The River San Antonio in gold-tone text. An IOWA pewter thimble features a painted corn cob finial, and another pewter example is marked AMISH COUNTRY. Several items remain protected within individual clear plastic display cases.
