A 19th century French patinated bronze figural group after the original model by Claude Michel, known as Clodion (French, 1738–1814), depicting two dancing bacchantes (nymphs). The sculpture is mounted on a circular marble base and bears an incised cursive signature Clodion alongside an apocryphal date (1762) near the base. Measuring approx. 24 inches high. Condition noted: the piece is in overall stable condition with age-appropriate wear to the patina, significant chip and loss to the edge of the marble base.
