A fine and heavy sterling silver Georgian period cream jug dated 1811, of bellied form, decorated with an engraved band of bright-cut guilloché motifs and a robust loop shaped handle with bright cut-out detail, the interior with a rich gilt surface. Void of hallmarks due to a very fine and early repair to the rim, the underside showing stippled maker's marks GA & CG, and dated 1811, 4 3/4 inches, total weight 211 grams.
