Coastal Seascape. Paul Wescott (1904–1970) was a highly respected American painter and educator. He studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA) and won the prestigious Cresson European Scholarship in 1930. He later served as the head of the art department at The Hill School in Pottstown, PA. Wescott spent his summers painting along the rugged coastlines of Friendship, Maine, and Long Island, capturing the essence of the Atlantic seacoast. His works are represented in over fifteen museums nationwide.
