Five original 1960s United States Beatles pressings, all mono. (1) Meet the Beatles!, Capitol T 2047, the group's first Capitol album; the back cover carries the printed name Wayne Loucks with Loucks also written in red ink at the top, and the jacket shows ring wear, edge wear and a crease. (2) Rubber Soul, Capitol T 2442, front reasonably clean with soiling and a small punch mark on the back. (3) Beatles '65, Capitol T 2228, with corner wear, a small punch hole at the top edge and light soiling. (4) Yesterday and Today, Capitol T 2553, the standard trunk cover rather than the withdrawn butcher cover, with general shelf wear. (5) A Hard Day's Night original motion picture sound track, United Artists UAL 3366 monaural, red jacket with ring wear and splitting starting at the bottom seam. On Capitol jackets of this period a T prefix marks a mono pressing and ST marks stereo, which is the first thing a collector checks. Records are in the sleeves but have not been play tested and the vinyl shows handling marks. Covers grade fair to good overall. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot.
