Lot of two vintage advertising tins. (1) A Folgers coffee can with its original translucent plastic lid embossed Folgers coffee, the body wrapped in reproduction 1880s newspaper advertising graphics: a SUNK! account of the steamship State of Florida, the Bradley Handy Wagon, Surrey and Buck Board, Hull Vapor Cook Stoves, the Wooton Cabinet Office Secretary desk, the Hammond Type-Writer Co., Williams Shaving Stick, and a notice for Mark Twain's new work, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. It measures about 5 inches across and 6 inches tall, and the steel base is heavily rusted. (2) A small round Austin 1938 tin in Art Deco olive, black, teal and cream with a stepped shield logo on the lid, about 3-1/2 inches across and 2 inches tall, with rust along the seams and paper residue on the lid. The consignor listing called the Folgers graphics Florida-themed and Bradley shaving supplies; the graphics are a period newspaper page in which State of Florida is a ship and Bradley made carriages. Condition is good on the Folgers can and fair on the Austin tin. Both are display pieces, not food-safe containers. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot.
