CANVAS.

Image Size: 10 5/8 by 8 5/8 inches (27 by 22cm) All measurements are approximate. Framed dimensions:16 3/4 by 14 9/16 in (42.5 by 37cm)
Signed (lower right) The present work belongs to Monet's celebrated "Haystacks" series, a group of paintings executed between 1890 and 1891 in the fields near his home in Giverny. Rather than depicting a singular moment, the series explores the transformative effects of changing light and season on a static subject. This particular canvas bathes the haystack in a radiant golden glow, suggestive of the waning summer sun. The blurred background of distant trees and hills dissolves into a luminous haze, reinforcing the atmospheric sensitivity that defined Monet's mature style.

ALL PROPERTY IS SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS, WITH NO RETURNS, REFUNDS, OR CANCELLATIONS.

Condition and Authenticity:

Any statement in the catalogue, condition report, photographs, video, invoice, or other written or oral communication regarding the origin, date, age, attribution, authorship, authenticity, provenance, material, condition, or estimated selling price of any lot is a statement of opinion only.
