1806-1845 Base Plaque. A decanter modeled as a frontier trader in a long coat and stovepipe hat, a rifle in one fist and a handful of cheap trinkets in the other. The face is shrewd and none too friendly, and the painter gave the coat a warm tobacco brown that carries well across a room. Approximately 12 inches tall. The base plaque is titled Renegade Trader, 1806-1845, though no maker mark is visible in the photographs. Light soiling to the base. See photos for exact size and condition. Condition: Shippable.
