A vintage Soviet-era cocktail ring featuring a large oval cognac-colored Baltic amber cabochon. The amber stone features prominent internal sun spangle inclusions and is secured by a four-prong setting. The mounting is designed in a tiered architectural style with multiple concentric gold bands that taper down to a simple polished shank. The interior of the band is stamped with two distinct sets of Soviet hallmarks. The first cartouche contains the Cyrillic letter P, a five-pointed star containing a hammer and sickle, and the number 583, identifying the piece as 14 karat gold from the Rostov-on-Don assay office. The second cartouche features the number 9 followed by the Cyrillic letters РЯ, which attributes the piece to the Ryazan Jewelry Factory with a production date of 1979. Weight: 5.37 grams. Condition: The ring is in good vintage condition. The rose gold setting shows light surface scratches and minor signs of wear consistent with age and use. The amber cabochon is well-polished, maintains a high gloss, and is securely set within the prongs.
