This colorful collection includes five vintage hand-painted chalkware character wall masks depicting expressive cultural figures from around the world. The decorative pieces portray various detailed individuals including an alpine explorer in a fur cap, a fisherman in a blue brimmed hat, a Native American chief in a large feathered headdress, a bearded desert traveler in a white headscarf, and a smiling worker wearing a woven straw conical sun hat. Regarding the physical condition of the chalkware, the figures display beautifully with bright original pigments and sharp molded details. However, due to the fragile nature of vintage chalk compositions, there are a few tiny flea-bite chips and minor paint loss spots along the exposed edges, particularly on the rim of the straw hat and the tips of the feathers on the headdress. A couple of the masks also show very light crazing on the back side hangers, but all remain structurally stable and ready for wall display.
