GSID: 210.Pre-98 Make: U.S. Springfield Model: 1884 Trapdoor Serial #: 332405 Caliber: .45-70 Barrel Length: 27.5" round Low Estimate: 800.00 High Estimate: 1,200.00 Custom Springfield Model 1884 Trapdoor rifle in .45-70 caliber w/ a 27.5" round barrel plus a dovetail tail banded ramped front blade & flip-up adjustable rear tang mounted sights displays ~99% professionally restored blued finish to the gun's parts plus a vivid case colored restored trapdoor. The deluxe walnut checkered stock appears to have been restocked in the 1930's to 1940's (possibly by Griffin & Howe?) is in excellent condition. The red hard-rubber butt pad is deteriorated & in need of replacement. There is also one spacer creating a LOP of 14". Markings are sharp, action crisp & the bore/rifling are excellent. (Pre-98; No FFL Required).
