GSID: 192.1775 Make: Winchester Model: 1894 Serial #: 437485 Caliber: .30 W.C.F. Barrel Length: 26" octagon Low Estimate: 800.00 High Estimate: 1,200.00 Winchester Model 1894 lever action rifle, .30 W.C.F. cal., 26" octagon barrel, blue finish, smooth walnut two-piece straight grip stock, color case hardened hammer and lever, factory dovetailed silver tipped blade and semi-buckhorn rear sights, clear factory markings with visible Winchester "WP" proofs on the barrel and receiver. Mfg. in 1909, the rifle is in fine overall condition, retaining 60-70% thinning finish with wear at the muzzle, scratches and edge wear. The barrel shows sharp edges with scattered areas of surface erosion and light surface rust. The receiver displays considerable original finish drifting to dark patina with stronger finish on the left side. The hammer and lever show muted color case hardened finish with brighter colors in the protected areas. The stock is in very good condition with indentations, impressions and bruising consistent with carry and use. The buttstock ends with a smooth crescent butt plate, providing a 13" LOP. The bore is good with light erosion and frosting in the grooves. The action functions well and locks up tightly. (C&R).
