GSID: 186.Pre-98 Make: U.S. Springfield Model: 1873 Trapdoor SRC Serial #: 131875 Caliber: .45-70 Barrel Length: 22" round Low Estimate: 600.00 High Estimate: 800.00 U.S. Springfield Trapdoor Model 1873 saddlering single shot carbine in .45-70 caliber w/ a 22" round barrel (stamped on the breech end "W. B. 11256"; possibly Warner Bros Movie prop?) displays a brown patina to the gun's parts w/ a repair to the hammer body (hammer still cocks & is released by the trigger). The hardwood stock is overall good as well used, handled & stored. Markings are sharp, action crisp & the bore is good w/ visible rifling and scattered erosion. It would be interesting to further research this gun. (Pre-98; No FFL Required).
