The 1988 Jaguar XJ-S V12 signature features include a very long hood, with a low, wide stance. Four round headlights, a thin chrome grille alongside a sweeping roofline. Large rear quarter panels, distinctive "flying buttress" panels behind the side windows, chrome bumpers and trim and the iconic Jaguar leaping-cat hood ornament. Under the enormous hood sits Jaguar's 5.3-Liter V12, producing roughly 262 hp in North American specification. This delivers a silky, almost turbine-like quality. The classic interior includes leather seats, wood trim, analog gauges, deeply bolstered seats, power accessories and a substantial center console.
