1992 Annette Himstedt "Pemba" 21" Vinyl Doll Up for auction is a magnificent, highly sought-after 21-inch vintage African American vinyl artist doll named "Pemba" from the celebrated 1992/93 Summer Dreams Collection by renowned German artist Annette Himstedt. This exceptional, lifelike piece features a realistic child expression with a beautifully painted dark complexion, brown eyes, and tightly textured curly black hair. Dressed in his complete original ensemble, he wears a warm coral-toned buttoned short jacket and cream-and-pink vertically striped loose-fitting pants. This single-owner estate piece includes a treasure trove of original documentation that dramatically elevates its collectibility: the original light blue "Puppen Kinder" Certificate of Authenticity booklet featuring his model portrait, the matching original factory Quality Control paper, and the original 1994 Home Shopping Club (HSC) mail-order invoice proving its original $429.00 purchase value. The doll is carefully preserved with its original factory limb protective wrapping inside its blue retail box bottom, which remains structurally complete with light age-related edge storage wear.
