Approximately 8 1/4 inch tall by 5 1/2 inches diameter mid-war Bohemian art glass stamped with an arched "Czechoslovakia" mark on the bottom. • The Mark: This specific stamped, acid-etched, or inked arched text mark was extensively used on export items between 1918 and 1938 following the establishment of the independent nation of Czechoslovakia after World War I.The Maker: While many companies used a generalized "Czechoslovakia Only" export mark, this specific combination of a multi-tiered gourd shape, splattered multicolor frit, and heavily iridized metallic luster strongly indicates Kralik (Wilhelm Kralik Söhne) or potentially Ernst Steinwald & Co.. Both factories were highly renowned for producing these exact styles of vibrant, iridescent art glass during the Art Deco era.
