Install the included brackets and screws onflat, solid, parallel mounting surfaces. For drywall, fasten into wall studs or another verified structural support. Check compatibility before drilling. FITS 26.4-43 IN WIDE, 29 IN STANDARD HEIGHT: Measure the opening at both the upper and lower bracket positions beforeordering. Both measurements must be within 26.4-43 inches. This model is 29 inches tall; choose the 39-inch variationif you need an extra-tall barrier. CHECK BASEBOARDS, TRIM AND STAIR POSTS: Baseboards, chair rails, uneven walls, round posts or metal mounting surfacesmay prevent the brackets from sitting flat and may require a compatible mounting solution. Do not install until bothsides can be aligned vertically. LEVEL, ALIGN AND TEST BEFORE FINAL TIGHTENING: Temporarily position both mounting sides, level the gate and align thelatch before fully tightening all screws. Open and close the gate several times to confirm smooth travel, secure latching and proper auto-close operation.
