This lot consists of two decorative wooden wall plaques featuring outdoor themes. The first is an oval cross-section wood slice with a natural bark edge, displaying a three-dimensional light-wood relief carving. The carving depicts a composite figure with the head of an eagle, a human-like torso and limbs, and a stylized skull head on the opposing end. The reverse is hand-inscribed in ink with the title Eagle Trilogy and is signed Jim and Judy Bigwood, dated 2002. It includes a metal mounting bracket. The second item is a rectangular dark-stained wood plaque with beveled edges and a metal hanging chain. The front features applied bronze-toned metal accents in the shape of a flintlock rifle and two deer heads among foliage. The surface is inscribed with the text Deer Hunter's Prayer followed by a short poem and the location Iron Bridge, Ont. A small circular label on the reverse reads A&G CANADA. Width of rectangular plaque (measured against a ruler): approx. 11 inches Width of natural edge plaque (measured against a ruler): approx. 12.5 inches. Condition: Both plaques are in good condition with minor surface wear consistent with age and display. The natural bark edge on the oval plaque is largely intact with minimal shedding. The relief carving and metal components are securely attached. Light surface dust and minor handling marks are present on the wood finishes.
