A glazed ceramic character teapot and a group of white bone china mugs. The teapot is modeled as a portly gentleman wearing a black jacket, a yellow waistcoat with gold-toned buttons, and a blue cravat. The lid is fashioned as the figure's head, and the spout is shaped like a hand holding a small cup. The base of the teapot is marked with a banner containing the characters LINGARD over MADE ENGLAND, alongside the number 318 and letters L and W. The accompanying group of mugs feature fluted white bodies with gold-gilded rims and handles. The underside of the mugs bears a mark with a crown emblem and the characters ROYAL ALBERT Bone China ENGLAND and Val D'or. Teapot height: approx. 19.1 cm (7.5 inches shown on ruler) Mug height: approx. 8.9 cm (3.5 inches shown on ruler). Condition: The teapot displays significant crazing to the glaze throughout the body and lid. Minor wear is present on the gilded accents of the teapot spout. The bone china mugs are in good condition and are free of visible chips, cracks, or repairs.
