A decorative hanging shellwork mobile or chandelier featuring a multi-tiered circular wire armature. The frame is densely decorated with rows of brown cowrie shells and small white spiral gastropod shells. Multiple cascading strands composed of graduated small white spiral shells descend from the frame, terminating in larger fan-shaped bivalve shells. These terminal shells exhibit natural shades of cream, brown, and tan, with some configured into floral-like clusters. The piece incorporates various shell species including cowries and pectens. A green tape label with the handwritten characters 24x5 and two dots above the 4 is affixed near the top hanging point. Condition: Good condition overall. Natural variations and inherent irregularities are present in the shell materials. Strands and wire frame appear structurally sound. Free of significant visible breakage or apparent restoration.
