Early General Motors Muncie 4-speed manual transmission along with additional transmission housings, gears, bearings and miscellaneous drivetrain parts, all situated on a rolling two-shelf shop cart. The primary transmission displays GM main case casting number 3851325, which is associated with 1964-1965 Muncie 4-speed transmissions. Other visible GM components include casting numbers 3846429 and 3831707, both consistent with early Muncie components used during the 1963-65 period. The 3846429 extension/tail housing is a 27-spline, driver-side-speedometer design, while 3831707 identifies the early-style side cover. Visible stamped number on the primary case appears to read 5K115871. This number is documented photographically but has not been decoded or verified to a specific vehicle. Lot also includes another transmission housing/case, loose gears, shafts, bearings, hardware and additional miscellaneous transmission/drivetrain components as shown. Rolling cart and all contents shown are included. Components are used, dirty and have been stored for an extended period. Internal condition, completeness and exact applications are unknown. No representation is being made as to whether the primary Muncie is an M20 or M21, as the external 3851325 casting alone does not establish the internal gear ratio; further inspection is required to positively differentiate the two.
