Vintage Fostoria American clear pressed-glass round covered butter dish in the classic No. 2056 cubist or cube pattern. This complete three-piece set includes the scalloped underplate, domed cover, and faceted finial knob. The base plate has Fostoria's raised geometric cube and diamond design around the outer edge, with a scalloped sawtooth rim and smooth center well. The cover has matching faceted geometric patterning and a clear glass knob for lifting. Butter dish measures approximately 7 inches across the base plate and approximately 5 inches tall with the cover in place, based on the tape measurements shown in the photographs. It is suitable for serving butter, cheese, candy, small pastries, or for displaying with other Fostoria American pattern pieces. No major chips or cracks were observed during visual inspection. Light surface wear, minor scratches, small mold marks, or other age-appropriate manufacturing variations may be present.
