Vintage pink Depression glass covered cookie or biscuit jar in the Mayfair, also known as Open Rose, pattern. The piece features a molded floral motif with roses and leaves on the paneled body and matching lid, along with the soft blush-pink color associated with Depression-era Hocking glassware. The jar has an octagonal/paneled body, molded floral decoration on multiple sides, and a matching lid with raised floral panels and a round finial knob. Its decorative form makes it suitable for cookies, candy, small kitchen storage, or display with other Mayfair/Open Rose glass. Jar measures approximately 5 inches tall with the lid and about 4 inches across the opening/body, based on the tape measurements shown in photographs. Lid is included and fits the jar as shown. Mayfair/Open Rose is a popular Hocking Glass Company pattern from the Depression era, generally associated with the early-to-mid 1930s. Because later reproductions of this pattern exist, bidders should rely on the photographs and their own judgment regarding age and authenticity. No major chips or cracks were observed during visual inspection. Light surface wear, minor scratches, small bubbles, mold marks, or other age-appropriate manufacturing variations may be present.
