Vintage 1936-60 Spalding Official Baseball

Updated September 5, 2026

Vintage 1936–60 Spalding Official International League Signed Baseball Vintage Spalding Official International League baseball featuring the facsimile signature of league president Frank J. Shaughnessy, who held that position from 1936 through 1960. The ball has distinctive red-and-black stitching and retains portions of its “Official International League” and “Cushioned Cork Center” markings. Several additional handwritten signatures or inscriptions appear around the ball, although they are heavily faded and have not been identified or authenticated. The ball shows considerable age-related discoloration, staining, surface wear and loss to both the factory markings and signatures. Please examine all photographs carefully for condition and remaining signatures. An interesting early professional minor-league baseball offered as found.
