Large Stunning Inuit Bear and Hunter Carving

Vintage hand carved Inuit stone carving measures 9" tall and wide. We're calling this "Losing the Fight" as it depicts the hunter being attacked from behind by the bear. Hunter has a small bone knife in his hand. Beautiful coloring with lighter details on the bear. Hard to read inscriptions on the bottom. Appear to be "Kaplote AK " and 'Leyteya'. Research groups have been unable to assist with artist or region. No chips or cracks at all. Beautiful vintage condition. Shipping will be costly due to weight.
