Oil on canvas, framed. Attributed to Roberto Matta (1911–2002). Depicting an abstract spatial construction of intersecting geometric planes, angular forms, and dynamic chromatic fields in green, yellow, red, orange, and blue, the composition reflects Matta’s mature Inscape vocabulary, defined by psychological architecture, energetic linear networks, and the suggestion of interior cosmic environments. Signed Roberto Matta at the lower right. Label on verso: F.A.R. Gallery, New York. 50.8 x 40.6 cm (20" x 16"), framed: 66 x 55.9 cm (26" x 22"). Works featuring similarly charged spatial matrices, chromatic turbulence, and architectonic abstraction appear in the Museum of Modern Art, the Tate Modern, the Centre Pompidou, and the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, all holding paintings that share comparable psychological depth and structural dynamism.
