A pair of postwar Lionel O-gauge Alco FA-type diesel locomotives in Missouri Pacific blue livery. The set consists of one powered A-unit and one non-powered dummy A-unit, both bearing road number 205. The molded plastic shells feature white block lettering reading MISSOURI PACIFIC and BLT 8-57 BY LIONEL on the lower flange. The powered unit includes a die-cast chassis with a motor housing embossed LIONEL DIESEL SWITCHER MADE IN U.S. OF AMERICA. Both units exhibit expected wear for their age, including scuffing and paint loss on the nose sections and minor surface grime. Oxidation is present on the metal chassis, trucks, and axles. Window inserts are missing from both cabs. This item has not been tested.
