Bold and energetic abstract composition by artist Sandra Perlow, titled "Flicking" and dated 2002. Executed in mixed media on canvas, the work features a dynamic interplay of vivid orange and red fields contrasted with cool blues and turquoise linear elements. Organic and geometric forms intersect across the surface, creating a sense of movement and layered depth. The composition reflects Abstract Expressionist and contemporary abstract influences, with gestural application, spontaneous mark-making, and strong color contrasts driving the visual impact. Thick, textured areas of paint and expressive brushwork contribute to a tactile, highly visual surface. Signed lower right; additionally signed, titled, and dated on verso. 42" x 35" unframed. Sandra Perlow (American, b. 1939) is a Chicago-based artist known for her vibrant abstract and mixed media works.
