Make: The Meridan Firearms Model: Model 20 Caliber: 12ga Barrel: 32 Bore: FROSTY Serial # 71318 Condition: Good The Meriden Firearms Co. 12-gauge side-by-side is an early 20th-century shotgun manufactured in Meriden, Connecticut, between 1905 and approximately 1918. Originally owned by Sears, Roebuck & Co., the company produced both standard field guns and higher-end models under designer A.J. Aubrey. This shotgun has “Damascus” steel barrels and has historical collector value, though they are “Rarely Safe to Fire”. It has checkered walnut forend and stock with a bakelite buttplate. In its original patina it has rust on the exterior of the barrel, some pitting on the receiver, and scratches, dings on the wood furniture. Please see photos. C&R
