Make: Harrington & Richardson Model: Resling 65 Caliber: .22 LR Action: Bolt Barrel: 26 Bore: Shiny Serial # 17643 Condition: Good Harrington & Richardson (H&R) Reising Model 65 semi-automatic rimfire rifle chambered in .22 Long Rifle. Bearing serial number 17643, this rifle belongs to the very tail end of its production run (totaling roughly 18,500 units between 1943 and 1946). Originally designed by Eugene Reising to simulate the exact weight, balance, and peep-sight alignment of the standard-issue M1 Garand, thousands of these heavy-barrel blowback rifles were actively procured by the U.S. Military—specifically the Marine Corps—as cost-effective marksmanship trainers. The rifle remains in good condition showing normal signs of use and wear. Please see the photos.
