upright So-Low Platinum Series ultra-low temperature laboratory freezer, manufactured by So-Low Environmental Equipment Co., Inc. under Model Number PV85-21. The technical data plate shows this premium scientific storage unit runs a cascade refrigeration cycle charged with R-404A in the high stage and a blend of R-170 and R-508B in the low stage, drawing 2288 Watts on a 208V single-phase electrical line to maintain a deep-freeze environment from -40°C down to -85°C. Structurally, the freezer features a wide-opening primary door insulated with a thick magnetic gasket, a bottom ventilated mechanical condenser base, and five individual internal compartment doors with magnetic latches designed to minimize ambient air intrusion during sample retrieval (UNT2 010)
