Beautiful grandfather clock made in The Black Forest and solid brass by GMK Fancher measuring 81"H x 24"W x 14.5"D. There is a split pediment on the bonnet with centre finial, four open reeded columns leading to a solid base, Tempus Fugit coloured dial with raised Arabic numerals and raised brass cherubs on each corner, small sweep second hand, centre hand painted Victorian scene looks like cross stitching, made in West Germany. The mechanics are accessible on both sides behind mesh doors, on both sides are bevel glass. Inside the locked glass door are chain driven triple chime movement with brass lyre pendulum and weights. In excellent condition. Black Forest wood is a premium European timber known for its quality and versatility in woodwork furniture.
