Sieber, Lucerne With original box A charming vintage Swiss sewing necessaire or chatelaine accessory, finely decorated with floral petit point needlework and gilt-metal fittings. The set comprises a slender needle or bodkin case worked with multicolored flowers on a pale ground, accompanied by a small fan-shaped embroidered accessory, suspended from decorative gilt-metal chains and fittings. Presented in its original fitted box bearing the retailer’s label: “Maison Sieber, Aux Petit-Points, Kapellgasse 1, Luzern” (Lucerne, Switzerland). An attractive example of traditional European petit point needlework, combining finely worked floral embroidery with ornamental gilt-metal mounts. Overall condition appears good with age-related wear; box shows minor wear consistent with age. Provenance/Marking: Maison Sieber, “Aux Petit-Points,” Kapellgasse 1, Lucerne, Switzerland.
